Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey had their wedding on October
26, 2002, at Riverbend Baptist Church, Austin,
 Texas. The
couple had a Baptist ceremony presided over by a childhood friend of Jessica's. About 350 guests witnessed the exchange of
vows. Jessica wore a strapless Vera Wang dress with a sweeping
train. Nick wore a Hugo Boss tux. The reception was held at Austin's Barton
Creek Resort, a popular golf and tennis retreat southwest
of the city. Nick sang "My Everything," a song specially written
for Jessica. Jessica had a friend sing a song she'd written for Nick titled "My Love."
Jessica has also written a book about how you can
have a glamorous celebrity-style wedding on a budget, I Do: Achieving Your Dream Wedding.
